Machine Learning Engineer Associate: updated exam in beta

AWS replaced the English MLA-C01 exam with an updated version (MLA-C02), currently in beta. Only the exam format and dates are recorded here.

Exam format

  • MLA-C01: 65 questions, 130 minutes, multiple choice and multiple response.
  • MLA-C02 (beta): 85 questions, 170 minutes, multiple choice and multiple response.
  • Dates: the last day to take MLA-C01 in English was 28 Sep 2026 and MLA-C02 beta delivery began on 29 Sep 2026. MLA-C01 stays available in Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese until MLA-C02 reaches general availability, which has no date yet.
